    Recreation and Attractions

    • Ellettsville is only 8 miles from Indiana’s first state park, McCormick’sImage15.gif Creek, featuring the Canyon Inn, 829-4881
    • Ellettsville is about 15 miles from Monroe Reservoir, Indiana’s largest lake and recreational area.
    • Ellettsville is about 5 miles from the Monroe County Fairgrounds.
    • Check out the many shops at Eagles Landing in the former Ellettsville Elementary School on eastbound State Road 46 (Temperance Street).
    • Ellettsville has a very active youth sports organization, RBBYS, which manages the 6 little league baseball and softball fields.
    • Campbell’s Park, Marcy Jane Lewis Park, and a Skatepark offer recreation opportunities.
    • Flatwoods Park is a 198 acre County park being developed west of Ellettsville 1.2 miles off SR 46.  It offers shelter houses, restrooms, basketball courts, playground, and nature trails. See the website for more information. Flatwoods Park Website
    • A swimming pool is available for public use at Edgewood High School.  Call 876-5919 for swim times and admission info.
    • Miniature golfers can enjoy 18 rounds at Putter’s Park, an Indiana-based course 876-8447.
