Schools

There is one public school system, Richland-Bean Blossom Community School Corporation, which has a long-standing reputation for getting excellent grades in teaching its students and preparing them for future careers. The school system enrollment is over 2,500 and consists of 1 high school, 1 middle school, 1 primary and 1 intermediate elementary school in Ellettsville (which both opened in 2002), and an elementary school in Stinesville.  RBBCSC is well -suited to meet the educational needs of Richland and Bean Blossom Township residents.  Parents, patrons, and businesses in the RBBCSC are encouraged to become a Partner-In-Education. Each school has a variety of unique opportunities in which parents, patrons, and businesses may participate. Anyone wishing to become a partner with a specific school is encouraged to call the building principal for a listing of opportunities.  (Note: Students in all other townships in Monroe County attend schools which are part of the Monroe  County Community School Corporation, based in Bloomington, IN.)
