The Ellettsville, Indiana,
Town Council met for a work session at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 11, 2000.
Members present were Geraldine McIntyre, President; Gina Hawkins, Vice
President; John Dailey, Jerry Pittsford, and David Sorokoty. Sandra Hash,
Clerk-Treasurer was also in attendance.
Topics discussed
were:
David Sorokoty nominated John Dailey for the Ellettsville Area
Economic Development Board.
Jerry Pittsford would like to compare the
Towns provider of deferred compensation to the School Corporation's provider. He
would also like for the town to consider offering a percentage of matching funds
to the employee contributions made toward the deferred compensation retirement
plan.
David Sorokoty spoke of the possibility of federal grants if
Ellettsville were to have a federal holding cell in the Ellettsville Police
Department.
Geraldine McIntyre stated the need to meet with Dan Sherman,
legal council for Bloomington, and go over the resolution permitting
Ellettsville to annex toward Bloomington. She also feels we need to address the
Bloomington Council again since there are several new members.
The
possibility of combining insurance with the City of Bloomington, Monroe County,
and the Town of Ellettsville to see if we could save money.
Updating the
personnel policy and areas that need to be
changed.
