The Ellettsville, Indiana, Town Council met is a special session at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, July 19, 2001.  Members present were Jerry Pittsford, President; David Sorokoty, Vice President; David Drake, and Geraldine McIntyre.  Sandra Hash, Clerk-Treasurer; Jim Ragle, Street Commissioner; Jim Davis, Fire Chief; and Ron McGlocklin, Town Marshal also attended the session.

 

Monroe County Humane Association

 

Erica DeSantis and Shirley Davis gave an overview and printed information to the Council.  They shared the services offered by the Humane Association and the need for a new facility.  Monroe County is experiencing a pet over population problem.  The Humane Association owns the animal shelter, and the City of Bloomington operates it. 

 

Year 2002 budgets

 

The Clerk-Treasurer and each Supervisor meet individually with the Council to present their budget requests for the upcoming year.  The Council will review the budgets before the next meeting on July 30^th, which will be a round table with all supervisors to discuss the proposed budgets and adjust accordingly.
