The Ellettsville, Indiana, Town Council met for a public hearing at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 30, 2000 at Edgewood High School. Members present were Geraldine McIntyre, President; John Dailey, and David Sorokoty. Members absent were Gina Hawkins, Vice President; and Jerry Pittsford. Also in attendance were Mike Spencer, Jim Davis, Ron McGlocklin, and Jim Ragle. Clerk-Treasurer Sandra Hash recorded the minutes and Rick Coppock introduced the council and summarized the fiscal plan.

Increase in taxes and the additional burden on
the elderly
Why annex a developed neighborhood

availability of the Ellettsville Police

Attorney Michael Carmin represented the Westbrook Downs group.
Mr. Carmin informed the council they had 144 signatures or 75% of the property owners effected by the annexation and he discussed the fiscal plan.
Mike Spencer said that the Town Council would be able to adopt the annexation ordinance not earlier than 30 days or later than 60 days from tonight’s meeting.
