The Ellettsville, Indiana, Town Council attended a luncheon and New Urbanism presentation at 11:00 AM, Friday, June 8, 2001. Members present were Jerry Pittsford, President; Geraldine McIntyre, and David Drake and Mike Cornman. David Drake did not attend the luncheon. The luncheon was held at the Nutmeg House with the presentation across the street at the First Baptist Church.

Mark Cornett and Jim Rosenbarger gave the New Urbanism presentation to the group. The presentation introduced the request from the Council, Chamber of Commerce, Ellettsville Main Street and the Ellettsville Area Economic Development to reduce the with of the lanes to provide for tree plots or parking on one side of the east bound road of State Road 46.

Maurice Endwright and a few other concerned citizens were in attendance. INDOT was receptive to the information and agreed to meet with Jerry Pittsford to take a closer look at the possibilities.
