Park and Recreation Board
The
Art Moynihan made a motion to approve the minutes
from
Cathy Cerajeski updated the Board as follows on
-Cathy gave Darlyne a check to transfer funds from
prior donations into the Town account.
-Usage has varied from 1 to 12 participants per day,
with weekends being the heaviest, given that school is in session.
-Future expansion plans are “on hold” as they have
not been able to get a meeting scheduled.
-A couple of ramps are showing wear, will check with
Jim Ragle to make certain they are in good repair.
-The
-Donations totaling $96.00 were raised by volunteers
doing soft drinks and hot dogs.
-Equipment needs; wrist guards and some helmets. The knee and elbow pads are OK. Would like to have some more Rubbermaid containers and tarps to cover the ramps before bad weather. The Board authorized the purchase of any items needing replacement. Cathy will prepare an inventory of equipment and replacement needs and send it to Darlyne. Darlyne will check with Jim Ragle to see if he has any tarps that may be used for the ramps.
Park Dedication
We will hold discussion of the park dedication until
the next meeting.
-Darlyne raised the issue of the lack of records
from the previous Parks Board. They were, apparently in error, not filed as
part of the Town records. Jerry Pittsford agreed to try to secure these records
from Leasa Farkas.
-Darlyne learned that there was to be a plaque prepared
listing contributors to the playground equipment installed at
-Darlyne was able to track and retain a copy of the
