The Ellettsville, Indiana, Town Council met in a special session at 6:30 p.m., Monday, August 5, 2002. Members present were David Sorokoty, President; David Drake, Vice President; and Geraldine McIntyre. Sandra Hash, Clerk-Treasurer; Jim Ragle, Street Commissioner; Jim Davis, Fire Chief; and Ron McGlocklin, Town Marshal were also in attendance.

Year 2003 budgets

The Council and Supervisors discussed some salary adjustments to the budget for 2003. After several proposals David Drake moved to give all fulltime employees an annual raise of $1,266.00. Raise the Marshal’s Sergeant position to $34,100.00, the 4 Deputy Marshal’s would increase to $31,600.00, Street Laborer V would be increased to $28,266.00, and the Deputy Clerk would also rise to $28,266.00. Reduce the Clerk’s office overtime from $1500.00 to $500.00 and reduce Miscellaneous Professional by an additional $10,000.00 making that total appropriation $20,000.00. Geraldine McIntyre seconded, motion carried.

The meeting adjourned at approximately 8:00 PM.
