The Ellettsville, Indiana, Town Council met in
executive session at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 31, 2002. Members present were David Sorokoty,
President; David Drake, Vice President; Mike Cornman, Jerry Pittsford, and
Geraldine McIntyre. Sandra Hash,
Clerk-Treasurer; also attended the session.
The Council created a new
position of Administrative Assistant to the Council. The position was advertised in both the Journal and The Herald
Times. After the applications were
submitted the Council met to review the applications and develop a list of
prospective appointees as described by the Indiana Code listed below.

When considering the appointment of a public
official, to do the following:
(A) Develop
a list of prospective appointees.
(B) Consider
applications.
(C) Make
one (1) initial exclusion of prospective appointees from further consideration.
The Council narrowed the applicants to 10 and will conduct interviews in 2 executive sessions, the first on Monday February 4th and the second on Wednesday February 6th. Each night there will be 5 interviews at 30 minutes intervals starting at 6:00 pm. The Clerk-Treasurer will schedule the interviews.
