The Ellettsville, Indiana, Town Council met in Special Session on Monday, October 20, 2008, at the Police Department Conference Room. Dan Swafford called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m.

Roll Call: Members present were Dan Swafford, President; Dianna Bastin, Vice-President, Scott Oldham and Phillip Smith. David Drake was absent. Sandra Hash, Clerk-Treasurer was also present.

Supervisors Present: Jim Davis, Tony Bowlen, Mike Farmer, Jeff Farmer and Frank Nierzwicki were present. Rick Coppock, Town Engineer was also present. Jim Ragle was on vacation.

The Council and Supervisors discussed:

· Town Hall renovations versus relocation

· Office space needed for current departments

· Anticipated space needed due to growth

· The need to encourage Duke Energy and Comcast to put any new electrical lines underground in the downtown area

· The Heritage Trail

2. Pedestrian Bridge

3. Required matching funds

4. Work that could be done by Town employees

· Safe Routes to School Grant for sidewalks on Sale Street

1. Frank Nierzwicki reported the Request for Proposals were to go out this week

2. Mike Farmer is serving on Safe Routes committee

· Green space preservation

No votes were taken and no decisions were made.
