The Ellettsville Parks and Recreation Board met on Monday, March 3, 2008 at the Fire Department Training and Conference Center. Jimmie Durnil called the meeting to order at 5:30 pm and led the Pledge of Allegiance. Members present were Jimmie Durnil, President; Geraldine McIntyre, Vice-President; Amber Ragle and Richard Pease. Michael Griffey was absent.

Approve Minutes of February 12, 2008

Geraldine McIntyre moved to approve the minutes of the February 12, 2008 meeting. Richard Pease seconded. Motion carried.

Review Accounts Payable Expenditures

Amber Ragle stated the electric bills were paid. Geraldine McIntyre clarified $21,000 was still in the budget.

New Business

Jimmie Durnil announced spring was coming and asked Amber about the flowers. Amber said she would get more information for the next meeting.

Jimmie asked about hiring the part-time Parks person. Amber answered nothing has been mentioned since the last meeting. Amber will talk to Jim Ragle and find out his intentions and report at the next meeting.

Amber Ragle received a call from the Ellettsville Christian Church who requested to rent the large shelter house May 16, 17 and 18^th. Will we charge the $100 fee per day or a flat $100 rental fee? This situation has never come up before. Geraldine McIntyre suggested more than $100 for three days. Jimmie Durnil proposed $50 the last two days with a total of $200. Amber will still include the $100 deposit.
