July 6, 2009 Ellettsville Parks and Recreation Board meeting Minutes

The Ellettsville Parks and Recreation Board met on Monday, July 6, 2009 at the Fire Department Training and Conference Center. Jimmie Durnil called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance. Members present were Jimmie Durnil, President; Richard Pease, Vice-President; Amber Ragle, Secretary and Michael Griffey. Geraldine McIntyre was absent.

Approve Minutes of June 1, 2009

Michael Griffey made a motion to approve the June 1, 2009 minutes. Richard Pease seconded. Motion carried.

Review Accounts Payable Expenditures

Amber Ragle stated the electric bills, payroll and the corresponding payroll taxes for 2^nd quarter were paid. There was also a purchase for new swings at Campbell’s Park to replace the old, worn out ones.

Old Business

Amber informed the board the Town Council met concerning the 2010 budgets and the Parks budget has been cut. The 2010 Parks budget is now $11,302.40. The laborer and associated payroll taxes have been removed. That person will now be paid entirely out of Stormwater instead of being split between the two. There is another budget meeting scheduled for tonight and budgets will be adopted in August. Amber will bring a copy of the approved budget for each member after it has been approved.

New Business

Amber Ragle announced $24.00 was received from Coke machine proceeds.
