September 7, 2010 Ellettsville Parks and Recreation Board Meeting Minutes

The Ellettsville Parks and Recreation Board met on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at the Fire Department Training and Conference Center. Jimmie Durnil called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance. Members present were Jimmie Durnil, President; Richard Pease, Vice-President; Amber Ragle, Secretary; and Geraldine McIntyre. Michael Griffey was absent.

Approve Minutes of July 6, 2010

Geraldine McIntyre made a motion to approve the minutes of the July 6, 2010 meeting. Richard Pease seconded. Motion carried.

Review Accounts Payable Expenditures

Amber Ragle reviewed the expenditures for August.

Old Business

There was not any old business.

New Business

· Ellettsville Christian Church. A man came by Town Hall and wants to do a free breakfast once a month during the warmer months, September and October. The Church would start again with the breakfast in the spring. The church is requesting a reduction in the fee of the shelter house since he only needs it from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., one Saturday a month. The fee for renting the shelter house is normally $100. Amber suggested reducing the rent to $25. A rental deposit of $100 is on file for the Christian Church. Geraldine McIntyre made a motion to rent the shelter to the Christian Church one Saturday during the warm months for $25 each day. Richard Pease seconded the motion. Motion carried.

· Amber Ragle – asked if anyone wanted to do anything at the park during the fall, i.e., a chili supper, Halloween. The shelter is rented October 30 – 31, 2010. Jimmie and Amber will work on planning something for the fall. If anyone has any ideas they can email them to Amber.
